85 Days Until Tour de Cusine Commences

Hey everyone. For those who will most likely be viewing this blog (mom), I wanted to post my first blog.

Today is April 11th, roughly 85 days away from our July 4th departure for what has been titled "Le Tour de Cuisine - 2010."

But first a brief introduction:

Currently sitting to my right on the reclining sofa adjacent to me is my father, Larry. He's getting into tip top shape for this adventure, which is only one of his nearly 20+ europrean bicycle trips he has completed. This will hopefully be his favorite trip!

As for me, I am the son, Greg. I'm about to start law school in the Fall, and I'm looking forward to the oppurtunity to enjoy this possibly last father-son bike trip in Europe.

Now as for the trip, we will be flying from Tampa to Biarritz, France. Biarritz will be the start of a 17-day bike journey that will take us through Spain and France, ultimately with our trip ending in Barcelona. In an upcoming post, I will post our planned itenerary.

In the meantime, I want to thank everyone who will be following our trip via this blog, and hopefully the vast array of culinary and cycling expositions will be quite an unique experience to participate and chronicle.
